RE: Engine Development
Hey Patrick,
It was a pretty good weekend... Got two - 2nd place finishes (450 Production/450 Superbike), it was good.
Everything was good and the bike ran strong.
Thanks for everything.

RE: Cylinder Head Development
Hey Pat, I just ran Brent's YZ450 on the dyno and it's making 50.1 hp, up from 42.1 hp.
An 8 hp gain is pretty F@*#-ing amazing for a 450!... Good job man.

RE: Cylinder Head Development/Piston Work
I just picked up our engine work from Patrick @ Performance Concepts. If you are planning on
having engine work done you should consider Patrick. His work is awesome!
He is an artisan, who pays painstaking attention to detail. Patrick delivers the work ON
Schedule. The workmanship is the best I have seen hands down, head and shoulders above the rest.
Talk to Patrick, and visit his shop, you too will be a sold. If you are spending your
hard earned money on a race engine you owe it to yourself to consider

RE: Cylinder Head/Cam Timing Work
(for street/track)
Hey Pat, did I tell you about the 954?
I took it out for a test ride and the front wheel came right up between 30-40 mph... in 4th gear!
The thing makes stupid power! It actually scares him (the customer) a little, which I guess is a good thing:)

Damn, Patrick... You build some F@*#-ing sweet motors!

RE: Engine Development
Looks like Kenny and Dave really like the performance on the bike, as in wow, this thing really pulls
(they are doing endurance practice this morning). Just thought I update you.

RE: Engine Building
If the motor hasn't been apart in a couple years you should have it freshened up. There are a
few people that can do that for you but I'd recommend Patrick Ho. He does high quality work.

Well, there you are again, standing there with a "bucket" to help bail me out.
Thanks again, Patrick.

RE: Engine Development
We just ran the bike on the dyno, the engine makes "beaucoup" power! That's why we love you Pat,
you're the man, I mean you are THE man. Thanks for always doing such a good job.

RE: Attention to Detail... or so we think:)
I wanted you to work on my Ducati (street bike), because I see how really anal you are about working
on the race bikes... you know I mean that in a really nice way, as a compliment, right?

RE: Engine Rebuild/Transmission Repair
The track day I had at Sears Point on November 5th was great! The engine ran very smoothly all day.
The transmission was problem-free and the work you did on that rear wheel assembly made for smooth running.
I was so happy with the bike and I can't wait to get the 2005 season going.
Your work is top-drawer.

RE: Engine Development & Fabrication
To all of you 250 riders that do not know Patrick, he is my engine builder and
did all the modifications on my EX250, front bracket, short shifter movement, suspension
and other small changes that help me feel more comfortable on the bike.
Teaming with him got me the results that you all are witnessing on the race track.

You need to quit #@*!-ing around and just get a "super-geeked-out" Pat Ho cylinder head. They make stupid horsepower!

RE: Custom Fabrication & Design
I can vouch for Patrick (Performance Concepts). He built a beautiful fairing mount for me.
He knows what he's doing and is easy to deal with.

RE: Custom Exhaust Fabrication
This is one beautiful piece of work that Patrick has done for me. You have to
see
the welding and fab to really appreciate it.
Thanks Patrick, Top class as usual..

RE: Custom Exhaust Fabrication
The Duc 900 SS SP is a nice looking bike but I felt that it lacked the fluid shape
compared to the newer Duc's. After pretty much putting all the bolt on mods such as 39mm
flat slides, yoyodyne flywheel, Marvic magnesium blah blah blah so on and so on I figured
let's bring this good ole mid 90s Duc closer to this era and this is when I ran in to
Mr. Patrick Ho a talented fabricator reaping out of Pinole Ca. (going north in HWY 80 exit
as soon as you see Krispy Kream) as you can see the
picture
says all. An awesome job and a cool price at that. So if you have any kooky ideas in mind
for your motorbike. Support your local bay area fabricator and buzz the man up... laters

RE: Fabrication & Design
I can vouch for Patrick Ho's work. I crashed in T8 at Thunderhill two
months ago. It's a fifth gear left hander. The slider bolt snapped off
after catching in the dirt after going off the track. The downtube was
just fine.
I also have Patrick's FZR 400 fairing stay with replaceable ears. I had
to replace both ears but I think it helped decrease the fiberglass damage
as it was able to flex without banging into a solid heavy stay.

RE: Welding Repair
This guy, Patrick done an exceptional job on Bruces Gixxer frame, The
lugs broke off where the rearset bolts on. He braced and welded them back
on and did a totally brill jobbie.
Very professional, clean and has a nice workshop, He also makes parts
from Billet, has a lathe, miller, etc...

RE: Fabrication & Design
A couple weeks ago there was a post about frame sliders, and I just wanted you guys
(and girls) to know that I got my pieces back from Patrick Ho at Performance Concepts
last night, and he did a great job. The welds look real strong, and are done really well.
I had a great experience with Performance Concepts and would recommend him to anyone
looking for frame sliders.

RE: Fabrication & Design
Patrick Ho at Performance Concepts makes a really good slider set up.
It has been crash tested by myself and a few other squirrels out there
racing.

RE: Fabrication & Design
I can also vouch for the slider mounts that Patrick Ho designed. I have
them on both my FZR400s and both have been through nasty crashes without
bending the down tubes. The sliders worked great. I high-sided at about
90mph coming out of the Carousel at Sears Point. The down tube is still
straight and the slider bolt still points in the right direction.

Thanks to Patrick Ho @ Performance Concepts for all of the great work
he did on my bike (engine, frame sliders, best brakes EVER)...

RE: Fabrication & Design
My lowside on the FZR proved to me how good the caps are made and that
they are well worth the small investment.
One of the end caps you made for me is about 1/4" shorter than when
it was new. I sort of low-sided at Texas World Speedway last month and
ground down the left cap (and broke a couple of ribs while I was at it),
but the rearset itself was undamaged.
Jonathan Davis
RE: Customer Service/Tech Support
He knows perfectly well that I have people who will help me rebuild
the engine for free and knows my limited budget is likely to dictate i
do just that.
He actually spent a great deal of his own time showing/explaining what
to do, look for, and make sure such and such gets done etc. He certainly
was not obligated to do all that for me.
I have to give snaps to anyone who gives the knowledge he makes a living
with away just because. There are not many people who go to those lengths
to be of service.

RE: Service, Repair and Set-Up
I took the bike to Patrick Ho at Performance Concepts. He did an INCREDIBLE
JOB on my bike!!!
The bike was a completely different machine when I got it back. After
my first lap, I had complete confidence in the machine and knew that the
only thing holding me back was me.
I highly recommend Patrick for ANYTHING that needs to be done to your
bike. Plus, he offers an AFM discount!
